What To Do If You Have Back Or Knee Pain
The single most gratifying thing I get to do is move people out of pain and prove to them that age was never the issue. Lack of strength was.
Every day, I hear people in their 30s and beyond explain away their pain.
“It’s from years of _______.”
“I’m just getting too old to _______.”
It’s a shame to hear, but at this point, I use it to fuel my fire. As I’ve become more confident in my ability to help people get out of pain using the gym, I’ve also become unapologetically vocal about it.
This came up the other day when a friend blamed his back pain on years of standing for long hours on hard surfaces. I offered him a harder truth: it wasn’t the standing. It was years of not stepping foot in the gym, a poor diet, and daily alcohol. He’s only a few months older than me, yet our health is worlds apart.
It’s easy to convince ourselves that spending a few hours a week in the gym and eating nourishing food is elitist behavior. That it makes someone a “health nut.” But when those same people say, “I just want to enjoy life,” that belief quickly falls apart when getting off the floor at 40 feels like a struggle. Imagine if that movement felt easy again, or better yet, never became an issue at all.
What if you trusted yourself enough to enjoy the holidays without shame spirals or the familiar feeling that you need to start over on January 1st?

For many people in their 40s and beyond, back pain is often rooted in weak glutes and back muscles. Knee pain commonly stems from weak ankles with poor mobility, weak glutes, or a combination of both. Even bulging discs and other diagnoses typically require appropriate strength training, not complete avoidance.
Without muscle, tendons and ligaments take on too much strain. Joints wear down from poor movement patterns. Bones degrade without pressure. There is a lot that goes into building a body that supports lifelong wellness. When you add in misinformation and conflicting advice, it’s easy to understand why people give up. Without the right guidance, it can feel overwhelming.
And yet, maybe there’s a quiet whisper in your heart telling you that you deserve better. You see people like me and witness the evidence that life can feel fuller. I lived with joint pain until I learned powerful, yet simple tools to get myself out of it. At 41, I’m stronger and more vibrant than I was in my 20s.
That can be your reality too.
Let that whisper become a roar.
If you’re tired of managing pain instead of fixing it, this is your invitation to do something different. Strength training done correctly can change everything, but it has to be individualized, intentional, and sustainable.
If you want support figuring out what your body actually needs, I’d love to help. Reach out, start a conversation, and let’s build a body that carries you forward, not one that holds you back. Your application is HERE.

What's Possible In The New Year
Resolutions are on the horizon, yet far too many of us lose momentum within just a few short weeks at a 87-91% failure rate.
I don't share this to be negative, I share this because there is no reason you can't be part of the ones who succeed.
Sometimes, that just takes support. Especially when that support comes from someone who has the skills and resources to hold you wildly accountable to yourself, can teach you how to navigate the roadblocks, and won't have you living in restriction.
